With the take-up springs maintaining line tension, the Drive Line follows a direct path over the end cap. They are positioned on both the front and back of the trailer to keep the tarp tight.
#2 Spring Box
Close to conceal the tensioning spring. Simple one pin access.
#3 Aluminum Roll Tube
To produce a consistent straight roll, a 3” lightweight aluminum roll tube is used. The tarp is attached to the stationary tube which runs the length of the box. It is attached to the box with a series of Quick Release Tarp Brackets.
#4 Storm Sealing End Caps
The end caps are comprised of a deep design to allow for a maximum sealing tarp.
#5 High Output Motor
The motor has a 194 gear ratio and is powerful and fast. The drive is a #40 chain.
Back of tarp:
#1 Dual Drive™ System
Same as front system.
#2 Spring Box
Close to conceal the tensioning spring. Simple one pin access.
#3 Keep it clean
There is no arm or apparatus on the roll tube to obstruct the rear of the trailer.
#4 Latch Plate
The latch plate secures the tarp system over the trailer.
Heavy-Duty Tarp Components:
Exclusive Tarp Attachment
The tarp is attached to the 3” aluminum roll tube by sliding the tarp into the channel. By doing this, consistent and equal tension spreads across the whole tube. This makes for a quick and easy install with less wear and tear on the fabric.
Two Ridge Straps
The two 1” ridge straps prevent the tarp from sagging between the bows. They span end to end across the tubular bows.
Galvanized* Custom End Caps
The end caps are crimped, not welded as welds tend to crack, and crimping is proven to be stronger and more flexible. The end caps have a built in bow and wind deflector to keep the elements out. *Stainless steel or aluminum end caps are available as an upgrade.
Tarp Construction
The tarp is carefully manufactured using the highest performing, rip-stop and waterproof materials available. The tarps are hand sewn with tight and straight stitches to insure quality and durability. This constitutes a square and even tarp, resulting in a product that last long and one you will be proud to own.
Aluminum Roll Tube
We do not use a steel tube which will rust, create wear in the fabric and may need to be welded in the field. We use a roll tube constructed of 3” aluminum which is lightweight.
Quick Release Tarp Brackets
The quick release tarp brackets are constructed from extruded aluminum for toughness and are standard on Autolock™ tarp kits. They open and close freely for easy removal of the tarp.
