Exclusive Nylon Crank Handle Retainer
The handle retainer is manufactured of a composite nylon and withstands even the most severe weather conditions. It will not crack or break. The handle retainer is mounted in a position so the handle does not impede access to or operation of doors or grain gates.
Telescopic Crank Handle
The telescopic crank handles are model specific. The crank handle adjusts to the height of your sidewalls thus, making rolling the tarp easier.
Flex Drive System
With the flex drive system on the handle, you roll and unroll the tarp while standing at any angle. Mounted on the front, side or rear of the box the flex drive system lets you roll the tarp with ease.
Continuous Tension
Our system does not use bunji cords. The combination of our spring loaded spools attached with a cable to the box creates a tarp guide and hold down system, making SRT-2™ the tightest cover on the market. This unique system allows the cover to remain tight at any stop point during opening or closing of the cover. Continuous tension at all times makes opening and closing in windy conditions a breeze
•Tension Ratchets
The heavy duty ratchets lets you fine tune the tarp tension when initially installed. Once you use the ratchets to set the tension there is no need to use them in everyday operation.
•Spring-Loaded Spools
A heavy duty torsion spring is housed inside the roll tube and is attached to the nylon spool to provide consistent tension and a tight tarp when rolling open or closed.
Exclusive Tarp Attachment
The tarp is attached to the roll tube by sliding the tarp in a channel on the roll tube creating consistent and equal tension across the length of the roll tube. This allows for a quick and easy install as well as less wear and tear on the tarp.
Heavy-Duty Galvanized* Tubular Bows
The quick release bows are easy to install and their adjustable height make for better tarp support. *Stainless steel upgrade is available.
Ridge Strap
The 1” ridge strap prevents the tarp from sagging between the bows. It spans end to end across the center of the tubular bows.
Galvanized* Custom End Caps
The end caps are crimped, not welded, as welds tend to crack, and crimping is proven to be stronger and more flexible. The end caps have a built in bow and wind deflector to keep the elements out. *Stainless steel or aluminum end caps upgrade is available.
Tarp Construction
The tarp is carefully manufactured using the highest performing, rip-stop and waterproof materials available. The tarps are hand sewn with tight and straight stitches to insure quality and durability. This constitutes a square and even tarp, resulting in a product that last long and one you will be proud to own.
Aluminum Roll Tube
Our roll tube is constructed of 3" aluminum which is lightweight. Our competitors use heavy steel, which will rust and create wear in the fabric and often needs to be welded in the field.
1" Fixed Stationary Tube
Tarp is attached to the stationary tube that runs the entire length of the box. The tube is attached to the box by a series of Quick Release Tarp Brackets.
Quick Release Tarp Brackets
The quick release tarp brackets are constructed from extruded aluminum for toughness and are standard on all the SRT-2™ roll tarp kits. They open and close freely for easy removal of the tarp.
